As with any imported product, unless it is approved for use in the UK it is not only illegal but potentially dangerous to use too.
All our products are WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme) approved, meaning they comply with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations or Scottish Byelaws. In order to comply with these regulations, they are rigorously tested to ensure they are safe, do not cause waste, will not contaminate the water supply and are ‘of an appropriate quality and standard’.
Also, if your products are imported directly from a European supplier we cannot provide support for your products or installation. In the event something went wrong with the installation or the product was defective, and WRAS approved professional would not be able to provide help. You could even face penalties if the product caused harm to others.
Given the recent troubles in the building industry, and as a member of the BMA (Bathroom Manufacturers Association), we strongly support the installation of approved products.
