SHOREDITCH HIGH STREET
Located along the River Thames in Richmond, a development of contemporary 4/5 bedroom town houses at “Terrace Yard” required high quality showers to be constructed into the concrete floors during the 1st. fix stage of the build.
Bathroom Engineering were brought into the design process at a late stage as the soil pipes and walls had already been constructed. However, by using the ‘Engineer it for You’ service, the plans were reviewed and a number of linear drain solutions were offered.
Issued with detailed plans, the Bathroom Engineering team had to create an elegant design using linear floor drains and offer advice on the best waterproofing membrane tanking system for both walls & floor to build watertight showers with long lifespans. The required solution also had to be quick & easy to install, but needed to give due consideration to the projected flow rates, floor type, gradient direction.
Prior to selecting the 2x most suitable options & put them forward for consideration, Bathroom Engineering also discussed sectional build ups, finishing materials and the construction methodology these bespoke showers needed to achieve the objectives.
Supplied in January 2012, the high flow UK TAF2 floor drains perfectly matched the AquaeGUARD waterproofing membrane to create very high quality wet room showers with a tile insert finish, that not only look fantastic but offer superb watertight security for many years to come.
